Who is performing at the Kentucky Derby concert?

Janet Jackson is making headlines as one of two top-performing artists at the 2022 Kentucky Derby concert.

She will be joined by all six original performers of New Edition – Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant, Michael Bivins, Ronnie Devoe, and Ricky Bell.

New Edition and Janet Jackson are taking the stage in the first concert to be held at Lynn Family Stadium.

Jackson is a five-time Grammy Award-winner and has won 11 Billboard Music Awards and 11 American Music Awards.

She is expected to perform her greatest hits and New Edition, whose musical career spans four decades, will perform hit songs since their inception.

Eric Granger, ASM Global General Manager talked about the opportunities this concert will bring to the area.

“This is a historic moment for Lynn Family Stadium and the Louisville community,” Granger said.

“This concert will not only provide an exciting new entertainment opportunity for the Louisville region,” he said in a press release, but “it also helps showcase the venue’s ability to offer a variety of programming and will open doors to welcome more world-class artists to perform to fans at Lynn Family Stadium in the future.”

Where is the concert?

The Kentucky Derby concert will be held at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky.

It will take place on the night of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 7, at 7pm.

The Lynn Family Stadium opened in 2020 and has played host to the Louisville City FC of the USL Championship. The stadium also started hosting the Racing Louisville FC of the National Women’s Soccer League in 2021.

How can I get tickets?

Tickets to the Kentucky Derby concert go on sale on Friday, March 25 at 10am ET.

For those who want to purchase tickets, you can buy them at the Lynn Family Stadium box office or on seatgeek.com.

The cost of tickets ranges from $35 to $375 but those wishing to purchase from the box office should remember after Friday, it will only be open on LouCity and Racing Louisville home game days beginning three hours prior to each game.
