Ismaila Sarr next club odds: Newcastle lead the race for Watford winger

NEWCASTLE have been installed as the favourites to sign the Watford winger Ismaila Sarr.

The Magpies have been priced at 2/1 to sign the Senegal international with Sky Bet, leading the likes of Crystal Palace and Everton in the race for the sought after wide man.

Eddie Howe's Newcastle are the favourites to sign Watford winger Ismaila Sarr.

Sarr has impressed for the Hornets during his three years with the club, making over 90 appearances since signing from Rennes for £27m.

Watford’s relegation from the Premier League last month means that it’s likely that the 24-year-old will leave the Hertfordshire club this summer, with lots of clubs seemingly interested.

Newcastle are currently being touted as the club most likely to secure the signature of the Senegal international.

Eddie Howe’s Magpies will be looking to build on their very positive second half of last season, achieving an 11th place finish after a very slow start to the season.

Newcastle will be looking to splash some cash this summer in a bid to challenge for the European spots next season.

Sky Bet odds

  • Newcastle 2/1
  • Crystal Palace 5/1
  • Everton 9/1
  • Liverpool 10/1
  • Leicester 12/1
  • West Ham 16/1
  • Leeds 25/1

Crystal Palace are another side who are in the running to sign Sarr.

Patrick Vieira enjoyed a positive first season in charge at Selhurst Park, and will be looking to improve his young squad for next season, having finished 12th last time out.

The Eagles are a bit short in the winger department, with Wilfried Zaha out of contract next summer, leaving just Michael Olise as a specialist wide man at the club, as Jeffrey Schlupp’s contract also expires at the end of the month.

Frank Lampard’s Everton have also been linked with a move for the winger.

The Toffees had a disappointing campaign last season, only surviving relegation on the penultimate day of the season.

The signing of Sarr would likely be an upgrade on the likes of Demarai Gray, Alex Iwobi and Andros Townsend, so would likely slot into the starting line up should he join the Merseyside club.
